Privacy Policy
LAST UPDATED: 1 JULY 2026
This policy explains how JPS Audio (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit jps-audio.co.uk (the “site”) or sign up for launch notifications. We are the data controller responsible for your personal data.
Who we are & how to contact us
JPS Audio is an independent audio-software maker. For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, contact us at JPSAudioPlugins@gmail.com.
What information we collect
- Information you give us. When you use the “Notify me” form, we collect the email address you submit.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard technical data (such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view) in server logs to keep the site secure and running. When a page loads, third-party services we use (see below) may also receive your IP address.
How we use your information
- To email you when OctaQ and related JPS Audio products launch, and to send occasional product news — on the basis of your consent, which you give by submitting your email. You can withdraw consent at any time (see “Your rights”).
- To operate, maintain and protect the site — on the basis of our legitimate interests in running a secure, functioning website.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising profiling.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Web3Forms — processes your signup form submission and delivers it to our inbox. See their privacy policy.
- Netlify — hosts and serves the website. See their privacy policy.
- Google Fonts — serves the website’s fonts; Google may receive your IP address when fonts load. See Google’s privacy policy.
- YouTube (Google) — the product page embeds a demo video in privacy-enhanced mode. If you play the video, YouTube may collect data as described in Google’s privacy policy.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
International transfers
Some of the providers above are based outside the UK. Where your data is transferred internationally, we rely on those providers’ safeguards (such as UK/EU adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses) to keep it protected to UK standards.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you ask us to remove it, or until it is no longer needed for the purpose you gave it — for example, if the launch mailing list is closed. Server logs are kept only for a short period by our hosting provider.
Cookies
This site does not set its own cookies and uses no advertising or analytics tracking. Third-party content you interact with (such as the embedded YouTube video) may set its own cookies; the video is loaded in privacy-enhanced mode to reduce this.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; have it corrected or erased; restrict or object to our use of it; request portability; and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email JPSAudioPlugins@gmail.com and we’ll respond within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
